Robert Carioscia’s art has been exhibited at many museums and galleries, including: The Hechsher Art Museum, Fusion Arts Museum, The Robeson Gallery at Rutgers University The Islip Arts Museum, Parrish Art Museum, Hofstra University, Dowling College, Youngstown University, , The Elaine Benson Gallery, Giordano Gallery, James Yu Gallery, Homegrown Gallery, Gallery North, Aquasource Gallery, Mills Pond House Gallery and other locations.

He is a recipient of residency fellowships from Yaddo, four fellowships from The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, a New York Foundation For The Arts MARK GRANT, the Hechsher Art Museum Award in Painting and a Grumbacher Award.

Carioscia has received a number of public art commissions including: a public arts commission from the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority Arts For Transit Program for permanent art at Columbus Circle Station and a public arts commission for the mural project at the LIRR Train Station at Smithtown, NY. He has also served on the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority Arts For Transit selections committee.

He was born in NYC and educated at Hofstra University (MS), Cooper Union and SUNY Stony Brook. He began his formal career in art collaborating on performance pieces at Robert Rauschenberg's NY studio. His company, Solita Art Associates, creates art and produces graphic arts materials.
