New York Foundation for the Arts' (NYFA) competitive statewide six-month program was provided for visual artists looking for a unique opportunity for individualized focus on the professional side of their creative practice. MARK
was designed to address the concerns of artists living outside of New York City while providing them with a new network statewide. This website serves as an archive of the artists and partners who participated in the program.
352 artists have participated in the MARK program from 2008 to 2012. In 2012 the program included performing and literary artists, and became the MARK
Boot Camp program. NYFA continues to provide Artist as Entrepreneur Boot Camp
programs that take artists through the core principles of sustainability which an artist can apply to their practice or specific projects, throughout the United States and internationally.
