A digital camera is my constant outdoor companion as I seek opportunities to photograph light that creates patterns, shapes, textures and reflections. I search for new and unique lighting situations that stimulate me in both a visual and emotional way.
I am currently fascinated with how light plays on, through and off everyday objects. My images often include water, ice, snow and scenes in a variety of atmospheric settings. Because the light changes with the seasons, time of day, location and weather, I find an endless number of opportunities to capture irresistible moments in time.
Next comes the challenge to transform the image in the digital darkroom, thereby creating the visual and emotional moment that captured my attention. My process finally reaches completion when the image is printed, exhibited and viewed by others.
