The Walking Project
, is a three-part, body of work made up of painting, installation and performance.
were developed from perceptions collected on regular walks with my dog in my village and are a combination of the figure in motion and abstract forms.
This collection of paintings evolved into an installation piece. The installation
posted the paintings as stops along one of my walks in the community of Athens, NY.
was a guided walk of the installation during which I told stories about Athens that I had collected from people in the community. Some of the stories were true, others based on Urban Legend and other acts of elaboration. The paintings were made from 2009-2010, and the installation and performance occurred August 2010www.yuraadams.com
