I am a painter living & working in Ithaca, New York. A city lawyer trapped inside the body of a country artist, I took up painting in 2004 to transition from litigating to creating.
My passion is sketching, painting and rendering people and their portraits. The son of a carpenter who could make anything from wood, I like to think I've adapted my father's handicraft to the field of art, using oil and acrylic paints to create vivid and memorable likenesses on canvas and board.
While I enjoy painting portraits near my upstate New York home, I'll paint anyone, anywhere in real time using webcams and Skype video software (theportraitpaintingproject.com).
